MATTHEW R. OLMSTED has experience handling a wide variety of civil litigation matters including general civil liability, vehicle negligence, security negligence, premises liability, and catastrophic and personal injury. In all of his cases, Mr. Olmsted actively works to design and develop innovative strategies to achieve positive outcomes for his clients. He is experienced in the analysis and development of efficient strategies on behalf of his clients, whether involving an early negotiated settlement or litigation through trial. Mr. Olmsted advises his clients on the implications of claims handling issues and is often consulted on matters which present significant potential exposure to insurers, insureds, and other companies. He is actively defending, and has extensive experience handling, matters throughout Florida in state and federal court. Mr. Olmsted is a member of the Florida Bar and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He also is an active member of several organizations including the Defense Research Institute, an international organization of attorneys defending the interests of business and individuals in civil litigation, Florida Defense Lawyers Association, American Bar Association and the Dade County Bar Association. Before attending law school, Matthew worked for an international trade association on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Outside of the office, Mr. Olmsted serves in the local cub scouts with his two sons. |
