ANDREW D. CRAVEN is a partner with the Miami office of The Chartwell Law Offices, LLP. Mr. Craven's practice focuses primarily on maritime matters, including the defense of crew and passenger claims, limitation of liability actions, cargo claims, and salvage claims. Mr. Craven's experience includes trials, arbitrations, and appeals. He is Board Certified in Admiralty and Maritime law by the Florida Bar.
Mr. Craven graduated from Florida State University with a B.A. in 1996 and earned his law degree at Stetson University College of Law in 1999. He is admitted to the Florida Bar, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Northern and Middle Districts of Florida.
Mr. Craven is a member of The Florida Bar, Dade County Bar Association, Fort Lauderdale Mariners Club, Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, and the Academy of Hospitality Industry Attorneys. He also served as past chair on the Florida Bar Grievance Committee.
Mr. Craven has been published and has presented on various topics, including Crew Claims in the United States, Cruise Line Personal Injury Law, Legal Ramifications of the Gulf Oil Spill, and Risk Shifting Agreements in Maritime Contracts. Mr. Craven is also fluent in German.
