Mayton v. Wackenhut Services, Inc., 2011 WL 2848198 (W.C. Panel 2011) (affirming defense judgment that the running of the statute of limitations was triggered by the employee’s filing a claim for federal benefits, not when he received a medical opinion regarding causation).

ALLEN CALLISON is a partner in Chartwell’s Nashville office. Mr. Callison is a native Nashvillian, graduating in 2006 from Vanderbilt University, cum laude, with high honors in history.  He then attended and graduated from the University of Georgia - School of Law, where he focused on trial advocacy and mediation.

Following law school, Mr. Callison began working in Atlanta for an insurance defense firm specializing in the defense of workers’ compensation.  After returning to Nashville, Mr. Callison became the senior attorney for the Nashville office of a regional defense firm. 

Mr. Callison joined Chartwell Law and opened its Nashville office in March 2016.  His practice is limited to representing insurers and insureds in workers’ compensation, general liability, multi-state subrogation, coverage, and employment discrimination disputes.

Allen frequently teaches seminars to clients focusing on Tennessee’s utilization review rules and Tennessee’s statewide efforts to streamline and limit controlled substances.

Allen is active in his church’s adult ministry program and teaches Sunday School. Allen and his wife are the parents of twin boys who occupy most of his spare time out of the office.
