Gregg S. Scharaga is a partner in Chartwell’s New York office. He focuses his practice on the defense of premises liability matters, including those brought against residential and commercial properties, bars, night clubs, gyms, recreational clubs, and venues. He also handles matters arising from construction accidents based on allegations of violations of the New York Labor Law, product defects and claims of environmental impairment, violations of the Dram Shop Act, assaults, negligent security, contracts, insurance coverage disputes and general negligence claims.

 

Gregg has spoken at seminars focused on legal issues within the summer camp industry, including, most recently, The Tri-State Camp Conference in Atlantic City, NJ and the National Swim & Recreation Association, where he spoke on the topic of “Protecting Your Campers, Protecting Your Camp.” 

 

Gregg graduated from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1999 with a degree in Social Sciences Interdisciplinary. He obtained his JD from Hofstra University School of Law in 2002, where he was as a member of the Moot Court Association, the Trial Techniques Program and took part in the Moot Court Competition Seminar. Gregg is admitted to practice in the State Courts of New York, and before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern and Eastern Districts of New York.
