Kimberly K. Moraski concentrates her practice in representing self-insured employers, insurance companies, and governmental and quasi-governmental agencies in workers’ compensation matters.

Ms. Moraski defends all aspects of workers’ compensation claims, with an affinity for course and scope cases. She is always accessible to her clients, in litigation matters or to answer a simple workers’ compensation policy question.

Ms. Moraski also has experience handling pre-suit legal opinions and assists clients in limiting liability in this manner. She also represents state entities involved in the workers’ compensation process.

Ms. Moraski began her legal career in the criminal defense field at another Scranton area law firm, followed by a stint at the Lackawanna County Public Defender’s Office, where she handled a host of criminal matters. This background gives her an edge when it comes to investigating potentially fraudulent claims.

Ms. Moraski was selected by the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the Pennsylvania Bar Association to receive the YLD’s 2015 Michael K. Smith Excellence in Service Award.  This annual award recognizes an individual who, through exemplary personal and professional conduct, reminds lawyers of their professional responsibilities. She has also been named a Pennsylvania Rising Star consistently since 2008.

Ms. Moraski is an active member of the legal community and serves on several committees, including having sat on the Executive Board of the Lackawanna Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. She also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Lackawanna Pro Bono, Inc. which provides free or reduced legal services to indigent citizens of Lackawanna County.

While in law school, Ms. Moraski was a member of the Widener Law Review Journal, receiving the Most Valuable Senior Staff Honor Award. In this role she authored, “C.S. v. Department of Public Welfare: A Concurrent Collision of Appellate Review in Two Separate Forums.” She also participated in the Trial Advocacy Program. Ms. Moraski also received Honor Certificates in Civil Procedure, Property Law, and Employment Law for obtaining the highest GPA averages in those classes.
