JASON HANFORD is a partner in Chartwell’s Valley Forge office, where he concentrates his practice in representing self-insured employers, insurance companies, and governmental and quasi-governmental agencies in workers’ compensation and employment law matters. He also is a member of the firm’s Medicare Set-Aside team.

Mr. Hanford is a 2003 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and a 2006 graduate of the Temple University Beasley School of law. While at Temple, Mr. Hanford participated in the Beasley School's award winning trial advocacy program, earning a commendation for "Outstanding Oral Advocacy". He also served as a staff member and then editor of the Temple Political and Civil Rights Law Review.

After joining Chartwell in 2007, Mr. Hanford was selected in 2010 by Philadelphia Magazine as a "Rising Star,” a distinction given by the magazine to only the top 2.5% of lawyers under the age of forty. Mr. Hanford is a frequent lecturer on the topic of Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation, having spoken before groups throughout Pennsylvania as well as at the National Workers’ Compensation Conference in Las Vegas. In 2012, Mr. Hanford was appointed as the co-chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Montgomery County Bar Association.
