Goldstein was selected to address the 26th SEAK Annual National Workers’ Compensation and Occupational Medicine Conference July 17, 18-20, 2006 in Hyannisport, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Mr. Goldstein presented his recently completed paper "Defending Cardiovascular Industrial Claims: Heart Attacks, Strokes, Heart Disease and High Blood Pressure”. In doing so, he addressed the most frequently encountered types of cardiovascular disease claims. He explained the usural theiors of causation, tpical and no-so-typical defenses to such claims and the obstacles that employers face in defending cardiac claims and will spend considerable time explaining how to challenge speculative medical theories of causation.
