JARETT L. WARNER is a partner in Chartwell’s New York City office. He concentrates his practice in the defense of telecommunications and construction companies and premises owners and managers in personal injury and commercial matters, including actions based on allegations of violations of the New York Labor Law and the Dram Shop Act, negligent security and general negligence claims. Jarett’s practice also focuses on defending product liability claims, the defense of employee, director and officer liability actions, providing insurance coverage evaluations and opinions, as well as the prosecution and defense of declaratory judgment actions relating to insurance and indemnity obligations. Jarett takes a proactive role in counseling clients on risk management and risk transfer techniques and strategies, before losses occur and once a claim is made or litigation is commenced, in mitigating and limiting any potential damages and shifting the risk to other entities and insurers.
Jarett has also lectured at Columbia University’s School of Continuing Education’s Masters in Sports Management Program, where he spoke on the topic of “Torts and Sports Law” – Intentional Torts and Negligence.
Jarett obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Albany and his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law, where he was a member of the Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal. He is admitted to practice in the State Courts of New York and New Jersey, and before United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and District of New Jersey.
