Alec Young is an attorney based in Chartwell Law’s Atlanta office, specializing in civil litigation and insurance defense. With a dual degree in law and business administration, Alec holds both a J.D. and M.B.A. from the College of William & Mary, where he focused on business law and finance. He graduated in 2021, distinguishing himself through his involvement in moot court competitions, including being a finalist in the prestigious Irving R. Kaufman Moot Court Competition, earning accolades for both his written briefs and oral arguments.
Admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2023, Alec is licensed to practice before all federal district courts in Georgia, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the Georgia Court of Appeals. His practice encompasses all aspects of general liability and insurance defense, where he handles cases from inception through resolution, including conducting depositions, managing discovery, mediation, and ultimately preparing for trial.
Alec is an active member of the Atlanta Bar Association and the Georgia Defense Lawyer Association (GDLA) and is recognized by the Order of the Barristers for his excellence in oral advocacy. Outside of the courtroom, Alec enjoys running and unwinding with a good book, continually seeking new opportunities to learn and solve problems for his clients.
