Brian Duke

Brian Duke is an associate in Chartwell’s St. Louis office. He represents trucking industry clients in general liability and transportation matters. Brian draws on his experiences as a commercial driver and freight broker to gain insight into his clients’ business operations and their legal objectives. He is licensed to practice law in both Missouri and Kansas.

Prior to joining Chartwell, Brian spent five years as a freight broker, communicating with drivers, dispatchers, shipping/receiving managers, and chief operating officers on a daily basis. In this role, he provided transportation management solutions for large shippers and sourced motor carrier vendors to carry loads for customers.

Brian also has more than three years CDL trucking experience, including over-the-road (OTR) in a sleeper truck, regional hand unload, and local lumber delivery. During this time he served as a Teamster with Yellow Freight and obtained Hazmat, liquids, and double-trailer endorsements.

In addition to being an attorney, Brian is an accomplished musician. He plays the drums and guitar, sings, and writes music. His passion for music provides a creative outlet, helping him maintain a well-rounded perspective in his professional life.
