Chelsea C. Maukonen is an insurance coverage attorney focusing on first-party property claims. Representing insurance carriers throughout Florida, Chelsea has defended her clients in a variety of claims involving roof replacements, water loss and damage and mold, to name a few.
Chelsea is experienced handling claims at all stages of litigation, from rigorous discovery and research at inception of the claim, to persuasive representation of her clients in mediation, arbitration, and if necessary through trial.
Chelsea has also represented businesses and self-insured entities in general liability matters involving motor vehicle accidents and slip and falls. Additionally, she has represented associations in construction matters involving roofing defects disputes and governing documents disagreements.
Prior to joining Chartwell Law, Chelsea was an associate at a Bonita Springs, Florida law firm where she handled first-party property claims.
While attending law school, Chelsea was editor of the Law Review and was an active member of the Women’s Law Association and Elder Law & Estate Planning Association.
