Eric Fields possesses 25 years of litigation experience, bringing extensive knowledge and expertise to Chartwell Law. His legal career began as an Assistant District Attorney for a New York City D.A.’s Office, where he managed a heavy caseload. Then, as Senior Counsel for another governmental agency, he worked on complex cases involving criminal and labor/employment law issues. In his last position with the New York State government, Eric handled settlement negotiations and hearings pertaining to professional discipline cases.
Most recently, as an Appellate Attorney for the Philadelphia D.A.'s Office, Eric represented the Commonwealth in 75 appeals and argued cases in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. His appellate work provided him with a deeper understanding of legal issues and strengthened his ability to craft compelling and persuasive arguments. Eric’s background also includes representing corporate clients in product liability cases and defending against insurance claims.
Because of his comprehensive experience, Eric is a versatile advocate, capable of handling difficult legal challenges. His broad knowledge and practical approach ensure that his clients receive the highest level of representation.
In his free time, Eric enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and playing tennis, particularly when accompanied by his two teenage children.
