Gregg S. Scharaga has extensive experience defending claims against gyms, camps, recreational clubs and other like venues, in a wide variety of claims, including negligent supervision, assault, battery, sexual assault, and sports-related injuries.
Greg also has vast experience in premises liability, defending residential and commercial properties, including local businesses and supermarkets, as well as bars and nightclubs in matters related to negligent security and violations of the Dram Shop Act.
Greg also handles construction litigation, allegations of violations of New York’s Labor Law, negligent supervision, retention and hiring claims, and various general negligence claims including product defects and toxic torts. He also handles claims alleging liability for the acts of employees and independent contractors (vicarious liability), contract claims and advises on risk management practices.
As a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences focused on legal issues within the summer camp industry, Gregg presents annually at the Tri-State Camp Conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey, as well as at the National Swim & Recreation Association, and writes articles for camp business publications.
While in law school, Gregg was as a member of the Moot Court Association and took part in the Moot Court Competition Seminar, as well as the Trial Techniques Program.
