Hunter Bishop is a skilled attorney with a strong background in civil litigation, representing individuals, businesses, and insurers in a wide range of disputes in both Tennessee state and federal courts. He has managed cases from inception through resolution, including matters involving premises liability, construction defects, product-related claims, and personal injury.
His litigation experience includes defending a pool contractor in a property damage dispute, a commercial lessee in a building collapse case, and a go-kart track installer in a negligence claim. Known for his thorough preparation and courtroom presence, Hunter has also served as co-counsel in complex civil trials.
Hunter earned his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he served as a student-attorney in the UT Advocacy Clinic. He also studied at Lincoln Memorial University’s Duncan School of Law, earning Dean’s List honors and a CALI Award in Civil Procedure. He holds a B.S. in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
An active member of the Tennessee and Chattanooga Bar Associations, Hunter regularly volunteers for local Mock Trial competitions and participates in Constitution Day events as a speaker. His dedication to both the legal profession and his community reflects the values that define Chartwell.
