Heather Sica is an experienced attorney at Chartwell Law, representing employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation matters throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She manages all aspects of litigation, from initial pleadings and depositions to motions, resolution, and appeals. With a keen eye for detail and a strong command of legal research and writing, Heather is passionate about the law and committed to advocating for those she represents.

Heather’s legal career began with a deep-rooted interest in litigation and appellate advocacy. While earning her Juris Doctor at Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law, she distinguished herself as a top performer, receiving the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Ethics, as well as CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for her work in Sentencing Law and Contracts.

Before entering private practice, Heather gained valuable courtroom experience as an intern at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where she handled misdemeanor trials and felony preliminary hearings. She then served as a law clerk in the Appellate Division of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, managing pretrial motions, appeals, and post-conviction relief matters.

Heather is an active member of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section, where she serves on the executive committee as the Law School Liaison, a role she has held for the 2024 and 2025 terms.

A cum laude graduate of Monmouth University, Heather’s early passion for writing and analysis was evident in her work as a section editor for The Outlook, the university’s student-run news publication. She also honed her leadership skills as Vice President of Public Relations for Alpha Xi Delta. Her love of language and precision carried over into her time as a proofreader before law school, ensuring the clarity and accuracy of financial reports, legal documents, and marketing materials.

Beyond her legal work, Heather enjoys reading and reviewing books and hopes to one day write one of her own. She brings the same dedication to storytelling and analysis to her legal practice, crafting compelling arguments and strategies that serve her clients’ best interests.
