Kyra A. Chislom joins Chartwell as an associate. She brings a dynamic blend of legal knowledge, commitment to diversity, and a unique personal background that enriches our team and the services we provide to our clients.
Kyra earned her J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2022 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2023. Before joining Chartwell Law, she practiced at a prominent Buffalo, New York law firm, where she developed a strong foundation in legal practice.
As an active member of the Bar Association of Erie County since 2022, Kyra has been deeply involved in promoting diversity and inclusion within the legal community. She serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, and is also a dedicated member of the LGBTQ+ and Allies Committee, where she contributes to the Messaging and Publications Subcommittee.
Beyond her professional achievements, Kyra has an impressive background in sports. She was the Illinois State High School Bowling Champion in 2015 and continued to bowl professionally through college. This experience has instilled in her a strong sense of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, which she brings to her legal practice.
Kyra's personal life is as vibrant as her professional one. She and her wife are the proud owners of two 20-pound Dachshund mixes, affectionately named Beans and Gypsy. Their playful and energetic nature adds a joyful dynamic to Kyra's life outside of work.
