With extensive experience representing both London and domestic insurers, Marcus has developed a deep understanding of the complexities of marine and non-marine insurance practice and policy.
Marcus’s practice encompasses a broad spectrum of marine insurance coverage and maritime liability claims. He regularly assists clients with hull and third-party marine coverage matters, yacht and recreational boat claims, personal injury and wrongful death claims, crew and passenger cases, premises liability, products liability, salvage operations, boat fires, and claims falling under the Limitation of Liability Act. He regularly represents insurers, P&I Clubs, cruise lines, marinas, and vessel and product manufacturers in claims brought under the Jones Act, General Maritime Law, and the Death on the High Seas Act, including jury trials and appeals.
In addition to his maritime work, a substantial part of Marcus’s practice includes insurance coverage and related litigation, serving as national coordinating coverage and panel counsel for multi-jurisdictional, complex, and excess claim portfolios. He oversees nationwide sex trafficking claim accounts and acts as statewide coverage counsel for commercial property insurance claims.
