Thomas A. Marchese focuses his practice on workers’ compensation, subrogation and lien litigation, and retaliatory discharge litigation under section 440 Florida Statutes.
Thomas has experience working with large self-insured and high deductible employers. He also has a high level of experience in the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and employee leasing market. He has worked with several clients on matters such as SIU and fraud litigation, as well as subrogation lien and equitable distribution litigation.
Thomas helps his clients by maintaining meaningful communication and providing transparency in his efforts to achieve a positive outcome. He understands the importance of constant communication and works to return all phone calls and e-mails within 24 hours. Thomas works closely with his clients and provides cost-effective and valuable legal advice and representation.
Before joining the firm, Thomas was a partner at a prominent law firm in Tallahassee, where he represented employers, carriers, uninsured defendants, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters.
Thomas has conducted, presented, and published numerous CEU courses. Additionally, he is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell, which provides an objective indicator of a lawyer's high ethical standards and professional ability, generated from evaluations of lawyers by other members of the bar and the judiciary in the United States and Canada.
Outside of the office, Thomas is a participant in multiple charities and associations. He is a board member for both Habitat for Humanity and the American Humane Society and was a past board member for the American Cancer Society.
