Chartwell Law recently added Anthony J. Renaldo as an associate in the firm’s Deerfield Beach, Florida office. Renaldo's practice is aimed exclusively on insurance defense. He has extensive experience representing insurance carriers and their insureds, corporate entities, and individuals on matters involving first and third party insurance litigation. Additionally, Renaldo has a strong background in handling and resolving all manners of personal injury disputes including complex spine surgery, traumatic brain injuries, and wrongful death claims.
Renaldo also handles commercial, residential, and construction related disputes. He previously obtained a summary judgment ruling on a “chipped” tile case in favor of a homeowner’s insurance company. The summary judgment ruling was later affirmed by the 4th District Court of Appeals in the matter of Ergas v. Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Co., 114 So. 3d 286 (Fla. 4th DCA 2013). Since then, the Ergas holding has been adopted across the state of Florida and now serves as a deterrent to future “chipped” tile claims.
Prior to joining the firm, Renaldo handled first and third party insurance litigation matters for a large Fort Lauderdale firm.
