Chartwell Law continues its growth in the southern United States with the addition of new partner Kirstie Hayduk to its office in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Hayduk is the third new partner to join Chartwell Law in two months.
Hayduk, who joins Chartwell Law from Fort Lauderdale law firm, Rogers Towers, P.A., will continue her general liability and insurance defense practice in which she represents national insurance companies, national hotel chains, commercial and retail property owners, housing agencies and property management companies.
“Based on my 15 years of experience defending insured and self-insured entities, I was drawn to Chartwell Law because of its reputation as an exceptional defense firm,” states Hayduk. “I also know and respect several Chartwell Law attorneys, which made me more excited to join the team.”
The addition of Hayduk to Chartwell Law continues the firm’s expansion plans. Last month, the firm opened two offices and brought on two lateral hires. Leslie Whitten was brought on to lead the firm’s Charleston, South Carolina office and Jeffrey W. Melcher was hired to head the firm’s new Atlanta, Georgia office and build its practices in Tennessee and Alabama. More office openings and new attorneys are planned throughout 2021.
“Two things compelled us to expand into the South and other areas. First is the expressed need from our clients to serve them in these areas. Second, is to provide a wider breadth of services to the industries we serve,” explains Abbey R. Lacheen, a member of the firm’s Administrative Committee and in charge of the Chartwell Law’s New Jersey practice. “Kirstie is a great addition to our firm. Her work with major retailers and hotels complements our existing capabilities within these industries.”
With over 170 attorneys in 20 offices throughout the eastern United States, Chartwell Law attorneys represent and counsel businesses in a wide variety of legal matters ranging from general liability to complex insurance coverage issues to high-stakes commercial litigation. Founded by four lawyers in 2002, Chartwell Law was recently named one of the fastest-growing firms by the National Law Journal.
