Adam T. Devine defends self-insured employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. He leverages his previous experience as a claimant-side attorney to represent his clients in the full lifecycle of compensation claims, including representation at hearings, settlement negotiations and depositions.

Adam has appeared at most of the southern New York hearing locations and has developed strong relationships with the other professionals in the worker’s compensation field.

Prior to joining Chartwell Law, Adam worked at a workers’ compensation plaintiff’s firm, where he handled the full spectrum of workers’ compensation matters. He successfully handled a high-volume caseload, from client intake to litigating trials to writing and filing appeals. This experience provided him valuable insights into how claimant’s attorneys handle and prosecute claims, giving him an advantage in anticipating their course of action ahead of time and effectively neutralize potential risk for his clients.

While in law school, Adam served on the Student Bar Association and gained practical experience handling cases through his work in the Civil Law Clinic. He also interned at the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, where he worked in the Office of Court performance practices for court operations as well as developed and conducted customer satisfaction surveys to improve litigant and attorney experience.

In his personal life, Adam serves as a captain of the Prospect Park Track Club, a Brooklyn-based running club with over 600 members, and regularly competes in ultra marathons. He also devotes time to volunteering at citizenship registration events through the CUNY Citizenship NOW! project and to the Back On My Feet program helping to combat homelessness. In addition, he served as a guest lecturer on Project and Program Management at Pratt Institute in its School of Information.
