Albert Wollermann focuses his practice on premises liability, insurance defense, first and third-party property claims, insurance coverage disputes, transportation and product liability, personal injury matters, as well as workers’ compensation and subrogation.
Al has been practicing law since 1991 and general liability and casualty defense for 20 years, representing insurance companies, large self-insured businesses, TPAs, and transportation companies. He is mindful of his clients by being proactive in his defense strategies and by providing well-experienced legal assistance to clients in need of defense litigation.
Prior to joining the team at Chartwell, Al was employed by another prominent law firm in Tallahassee, as well as in the Office of the State Attorney. He was a criminal prosecutor in Miami-Dade County’s 11th Circuit Court, for the Florida State Attorney’s Office with the Hon. Janet Reno and the Hon. Katherine Fernandez Rundle. He has also worked as an assistant general counsel for the State of Florida in the Attorney General’s Office, the Department of Revenue, and the Office of the Governor, for Governor Jeb Bush.
In law school, Al won honors for moot court, clerked in federal and state courts, interned with the United States Department of Justice in his Honors Program for the Civil Rights Division, and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York in the Criminal Division and Organized Crime Unit.
