Erica Marchetti-Burry

Erica Marchetti-Burry is a seasoned workers’ compensation attorney with extensive experience representing clients in complex litigation matters. She began her legal career as an assistant district attorney, honing her litigation skills in the courtroom before shifting her focus exclusively to workers’ compensation over a decade ago. She has successfully defended employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in all aspects of workers’ compensation claims, from initial proceedings through appeals.

Erica has a strong track record of securing favorable outcomes in high-stakes cases, including:

• Hilton v. School District of Philadelphia, where she saw the case through litigation and appeal to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania,
• Elk Mountain Ski Resort, Inc. v. Workers' Compensation Appeal Board, successfully arguing key legal issues related to the Dead Man’s Act and the applicability of common law marriage in death claims.

Erica is a respected voice in the workers’ compensation community and has been a featured panel speaker at the June Workers' Compensation Section Conference in both 2022 and 2023, presenting on topics such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and independent contractor defenses.

Outside of her legal practice, Erica has a lifelong passion for dance and is a professional clogger with The Fiddlekicks, a renowned clogging group. She is also deeply involved in her community, serving as a volunteer coach for the Unionville Mountain Biking Team and an active booster for the Unionville Wrestling Team.
