Chartwell Law Announces the Addition of New Valley Forge Partner Erica Marchetti-Burry

(Philadelphia, PA) – Chartwell Law is pleased to welcome Erica Marchetti-Burry as a partner in its Valley Forge office. With over a decade of experience in workers’ compensation law and a proven track record in high-stakes litigation, Erica further strengthens the firm’s capabilities in representing employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in complex claims.

Erica’s career began as an assistant district attorney, where she honed her courtroom advocacy skills before shifting her focus exclusively to workers’ compensation litigation. Since then, she has successfully defended clients in all stages of workers’ compensation disputes, including cases that have set precedent in Pennsylvania law. Her involvement in Hilton v. School District of Philadelphia and Elk Mountain Ski Resort, Inc. v. Workers' Compensation Appeal Board highlights her ability to handle even the most challenging cases with skill, delivering favorable results for clients.

Beyond her litigation success, Erica is a well-regarded thought leader in the workers’ compensation community. She has been a featured speaker at multiple conferences, presenting on topics such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and independent contractor defenses. Her contributions to the field extend to leadership roles, including her upcoming position as Executive Co-Chair of the Philadelphia Workers' Compensation Section in 2026.

Erica earned her J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and her B.S. from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
